DESCRIPTION: This lovely vintage gown is a bridal beauty from the 1940's. The rounded neck is trimmed in satin piping with an illusion neckline of sheer chiffon in the front and back. At the chiffon upper front, designs of cylinder-shaped and tiny round black beads adorn the transparent fabric; the upper back is joined with satin-covered buttons and loops that begin downward to the skirt. At the lower edge of the chiffon inset, the sweetheart-shaped bustline is accented across the front with wide ruffled lace that reaches up and over the shoulders, forming lace sleeve caps, where it continues the accent line to a dramatic deep "V" point at the button & loop back. The lustrous satin bodice is lined and has front vertical darts for shapely upper lines and a dropped waist that is beautifully highlighted by a round, curvy outline in the front and back. The long satin sleeves display a wedding point over the fingers with four satin-covered buttons and loops for closure at the wrist. The ruched chiffon skirt has a layer of tulle underneath and is lined with a shimmery lightweight fabric. Twenty-eight satin-covered buttons and loops adorn the center back of the dress for closure. The one who wore this wonderful wedding gown must have felt like an elegant, glamorous bride as she stepped down the aisle toward her betrothed...and you will too!

DESCRIPTION: This slenderizing A-line vintage wedding gown is a picture of excellence...one of the best-kept dresses you will find! From the lustrous lace appliques at the neck to the tip of the radiant satin skirt and train, the quality and condition of this dress are simply amazing. Sheer chiffon creates an illusion neckline between the rounded collar and the scooped neckline which are both trimmed with a gorgeous applique of flowers, leaves, and swirls that trail gracefully to the dress back. Long sleeves of soft chiffon are adorned with clusters of floral appliques, while the snap closure wrist bands are completely circled with exquisite lace detailing. The satin bodice center features a subtle shimmer of exquisite floral appliques that extend downward to the center waist point and reach around the Empire waistline to the back metal zipper. Hooks and eyes at the back neck, lower back, and waist give a smooth look and line to the dress back. The A-shaped skirt tapers slightly outward toward the side hemlines and is more flat in appearance, very elegant and flattering. As the skirt gradually lengthens from front to back, a beautifully shaped train measures 60" from the waist back to the hemline. The skirt and bodice are lined in a smooth, taffeta-like fabric. For an elegantly chic walk down the vintage aisle, this fabulous wedding dress is one of the best!

DESCRIPTION: This sleek-looking vintage wedding dress from the 1970's is a classic look with appliques that really set the style. The A-line-shaped gown is made of a tightly knit fabric with a slight stretch (probably polyester), back zipper, stand-up collar, and long sleeves; the skirt is lined with a lightweight taffeta-like fabric. The appliques are a unique combination of floral designs that add dimension and tri-circles that allude to the sleek vertical lines of the gown. On the dress front, tri-circle appliques form a deep "V" from the mid-shoulder to the Empire waist center and then taper outward in an inverted "V" shape all the way down to the hemline. Toward the lower area of the train back, a wide "V" outline of tri-circles is again a focal point. This applique also circles the Empire waistline in front and in back where it drapes over the zipper with a snap attachment and along the outer edge of the long sleeves from the shoulder to the wrist band. The floral appliques display a beautiful sheen with raised detailing that is quite stunning. This applique is featured around the stand-up collar and drapes across the back collar opening to attach with a snap - looks like one continuous circle - unique! On the bodice front, the fabulous floral appliques fill the "V" center and spill over toward the sides and sleeve tops as well as circling the wristband that closes with snaps. The skirt front is adorned with a scattering of floral appliques and again at the train back between the tri-circle "V" applique outline. For a classic 70's wedding, this vintage gown will take you there in sophisticated style!
