DESCRIPTION: Relive the experience of wearing this vintage wedding gown by William Cahill, a world renowned designer for more than four decades! This classy wedding dress presents a slimming A-line silhouette with stylish Empire bodice and illusion neckline. The captivating neckline is made of sheer net fabric extending from the rounded neckline down to the low-scooped bustline in front and back and across the shoulders. The illusion neckline becomes even more defined at the neck, sleeves, and bodice by a gorgeous outline of Alencon lace, which is known by its raised cording that follows the underneath embroidered floral pattern, floral-shaped edges, and eyelash fringe at the edge. This lace adoringly trims and bats its "eyelashes" around the neck to the center back where a run of fabric covered buttons and vertically-shaped loops join the slit back of the net panel. Alencon lace also gracefully adorns the classic Empire bodice on the front and back with a variety of shapes and at the upper and lower bodice edges with a garland of floral lace. Elegant long sleeves are created with two layers of sheer nylon chiffon, trimmed at the shoulder with lace, and lightly ruched at the wide wrist band which is additionally trimmed with Alencon lace and closed with vertical loops and a fabric-covered button run. The gown bodice and skirt are lined with a double layer of smooth, light taffeta for shapely support and overlayed with a double layer of nylon chiffon for a soft, gentle touch. Unlike most trains that are part of the skirt fabric, this fabulous train is attached at the lower back bodice, similar to a watteau train. Again, Alencon lace plays in beautifully as it slightly overlaps to conceal the back bodice seam where the train is attached. Two layers of pencil-edged, sheer nylon chiffon fabric (each measuring 104" at widest point and 74" at longest point) are ruched and folded inward slightly at the sides creating a draping, billowy train. Hooks and eye/loop on the dress fabric which cover the zipper at the back bodice top and bottom assure the gown stays form-fitting while the train dramatically trails the bride's sleek silhouette. Classic fashion, outstanding quality, and sensible price...a rare find. Vintage beauty continues to shine in the bride who wears this fabulous vintage wedding gown that boasts a William Cahill California label!

DESCRIPTION: This gorgeous matte satin gown by Casablanca sparkles with captivating style! Starting with the stunning illusion neckline of sheer net on the bodice and short sleeves, a scallop-edged applique shimmering with white sequins and tiny beads adorns the neck opening, the upper dress edge, and the bottom of the sleeves. Additionally, appliques of delicate flowers sparkling with sequins and beads at their centers, trail across the illusion neckline bodice in front and in back and over the sleeves. The upper dress edge is straight across the bustline in front and plunges to a low "V" at the center back. A-line seams create a flattering silhouette over the bustline and a dramatic flare at the lower skirt where triangular-shaped fabric insets, adorned with appliqued bouquets of flowers and sequins, peek out enchantingly. At the dress back, the dramatic dropped-V shaped bodice is mirrored with a dropped-V shaped waist seam to visually elongate the gown. An alluring train is displayed with A-line panels for width and a pleat at the center "V" that opens to parade glistening bouquets of appliqued flowers and sequins onto a bed of luscious satin. Around the entire hemline is a repeat of the scallop-edged, sequined applique seen at the upper dress to draw the eye from top to bottom and back up again! Timeless vintage styling coupled with glamorous details are the elements that will make the bride who walks the aisle in the gown a vision of loveliness.

DESCRIPTION: This picturesque wedding gown presents a flattering A-line silhouette with taffeta-like Empire bodice and skirt that tapers slightly outward toward the hemline. Sheer chiffon creates the transparent long sleeves, neckline, and collar and also overlays the lined bodice, skirt and train. Unique detailing of gorgeous applique raises above the collar top to beautifully encircle the neck as it accents the upper and lower stand-up collar (two hooks attach to thread loops to give seamless look at collar back). The chiffon illusion neckline and long sleeves, with taffeta-like cuffs and snap closures at the wrist, are also highlighted with fabulous floral appliques in varying shapes of circles and scalloped edges. A back zipper provides closure, while the enchanting applique trim continues around the Empire waistline and again around the lower skirt about 18" from the skirt bottom. At the bottom edge of the skirt and train hemline, scallop-edged applique trim creates a charming finish. Clusters of floral applique are also gracefully scattered on the skirt and train for an alluring touch. DESCRIPTION: This lovely vintage gown is a bridal beauty from the 1940's. The rounded neck is trimmed in satin piping with an illusion neckline of sheer chiffon in the front and back. At the chiffon upper front, designs of cylinder-shaped and tiny round black beads adorn the transparent fabric; the upper back is joined with satin-covered buttons and loops that begin downward to the skirt. At the lower edge of the chiffon inset, the sweetheart-shaped bustline is accented across the front with wide ruffled lace that reaches up and over the shoulders, forming lace sleeve caps, where it continues the accent line to a dramatic deep "V" point at the button & loop back. The lustrous satin bodice is lined and has front vertical darts for shapely upper lines and a dropped waist that is beautifully highlighted by a round, curvy outline in the front and back. The long satin sleeves display a wedding point over the fingers with four satin-covered buttons and loops for closure at the wrist. The ruched chiffon skirt has a layer of tulle underneath and is lined with a shimmery lightweight fabric. Twenty-eight satin-covered buttons and loops adorn the center back of the dress for closure. The one who wore this wonderful wedding gown must have felt like an elegant, glamorous bride as she stepped down the aisle toward her betrothed...and you will too!
APPROXIMATE MEASUREMENTS (Inches): Bust 38. Waist 29. Hip 40 (6" down from waist). Shoulder to shoulder 13.5. Sleeve 26. Wrist 7. Length (collarbone hollow at neck center) to hemline 56.
CONDITION: Good. There are numerous, though light, age spots on this vintage gown. Since the fabric and structure appear to be sound, dry cleaning is a likely option.
DESCRIPTION: This vivacious vintage wedding dress features a coordinating tulle fingertip veil and 102" train veil with matching lace trim! The gown displays a unique square-shaped illusion neckline of sheer chiffon in the front and the back with a ruffle stand-up collar at the neck. A fanciful garland applique of roses and daisies embellishes the chiffon neck at the center front and back and also circles the upper neckline to the center back metal zipper with hook and eye at the top. The outline of the square-shaped bodice in both the front and the back is additionally accented with a 1.75 inch-wide band of lace trim. At the outer edge of the wide lace trim, a repeat of the roses and daisies applique mirrors the square-shaped outline that runs up and over the shoulders and across the dress back. The long, sheer chiffon sleeves are finished at the wrist edges with a lace ruffle and snaps. Gracefully encircling the sleeves, wrist band, waist band, and top of the skirt flounce are repeating trims of the wide lace and garland appliques. This dress is very lightweight; a soft opaque fabric lines the sleeveless bodice and skirt, and a sheer chiffon overlays the outer dress. A fitted waist with skirt that tapers slightly outward toward the hemline shows off a slender figure, and the romantic flounce ruffle at the skirt hemline is a lovely complement to the square lines at the dress top.
A unique, fabulous addition to this dress are the tulle veils and train! The flexible headpiece is shaped like a headband with two rows of ruffled wide lace trim. Attached to the headband are three lengths of tulle netting, all of which feature a matching wide lace trim that adorns the entire veil and train edges. From top to tip, the measurements are: Blusher veil - 32." Fingertip veil - 66." Train veil - 108."
APPROXIMATE MEASUREMENTS (Inches): Bust 35.5. Waist 28.5. Hip 40 (6" down from waist). Shoulder to shoulder 14.5. Sleeve 25.5. Wrist 7. Length (collarbone hollow at neck center) to hemline 56.5.
CONDITION: Excellent. There is one very small area in the center of the ruffled collar that looks like it has been pinched or caught between something, but the fabric is not torn and it is hardly noticeable in the ruffle folds.

DESCRIPTION: This vision of loveliness wedding gown is so soft and so romantic looking. Slightly shimmery chiffon overlays this taffeta lined dress that is elegantly trimmed with stunning lace appliques. The Empire-style bodice displays a low-scooped, opaque neckline in front and back to feature the illusion upper bodice of semi-sheer chiffon and gorgeous lace trim. Be sure to take a look at the pictures below to see the design details of the fabulous lace treatment on the bodice and collar of this dress! The intricate shapes and styling are quite unique and very pretty. The long, billowy, chiffon sleeves are lined at the upper arm creating a taffeta short sleeve, full chiffon to the wrist, and lined again at the sleeve bottom with a wide taffeta band and snap closures to highlight the wrists and ruffled trim. If you prefer a slightly less formal or summer looking gown, the dress is constructed so that you could snip off the chiffon fabric right below the short sleeve for a completely different look that would be gorgeous! Either way, short-sleeved or long-sleeved, this is a vintage beauty. Rows of a daisy-like flower applique also adorn the sleeves, upper back, waistline, and chiffon flounce at the skirt and train bottom. The dress has a back metal zipper with 2 hooks and thread loops at the collar back. The taffeta under skirt and the chiffon outer skirt with ruffled flounce at the bottom begin lengthening from the front to the back to reach a semi-cathedral length train of 66" inches from the back waist center to the train hem. Between the taffeta skirt lining and the outer chiffon skirt is a stiff layer of tulle to give shape to the outward tapering skirt. The chiffon train has a hook near the flounce and a loop about midway up so you can choose how you want the train bustle to look when attaching it to the hook at the center back waist. On the taffeta skirt train, there is also a loop end and a braided thread at the back seam that can be tied together to raise the inside lining hemline. Wearing this wonderful vintage wedding gown is one of the picture-perfect memories you will treasure as you wed the love of your life!
APPROXIMATE MEASUREMENTS (Inches): Bust 37. Waist 28. Hip - full. Shoulder to shoulder 15. Sleeve 26. Wrist 6. Length (collarbone hollow at neck center) to hemline 59. Train (back waist to train hem) 66.
CONDITION: Very Good. There are some slight age spots primarily on skirt lining, but not noticeable because the chiffon outer skirt covers it; tulle is torn at the center back where train bustles; small pull in chiffon fabric at skirt back that is also not noticeable because of the fabric folds. Tulle that is torn at the center back seam could be cut away in this section or replaced.

DESCRIPTION: This lovely vintage 1970's wedding dress is so soft and dreamy. The elegant gown features a semi-sheer nylon fabric with a lightweight taffeta lining appearing from the straight-across bustline to the skirt hem. Since the upper bodice and sleeves are semi-sheer, the heavily embroidered appliques and vertical stitching on the upper center of the dress are beautifully contrasted. A narrow nylon ruffle at the neck creates an open, V-shaped, stand-up collar with floral appliques circling the neck and center front. Large garlands of applique also trail over the shoulders and end in V-shaped formations toward the front waist and mid-back at the metal zipper. On the long sleeves, floral appliques extend approximately 11" from the shoulders toward the elbow and again around the wrist edge which is also trimmed with a 2" wide ruffle and snap closure. Another large floral applique adorns the lower center of the skirt that tapers outward from the waist toward the hemline with single flower appliques scattered on the skirt front, back, and semi-cathedral train. The skirt hemline and train are delightfully detailed with a 10" wide flounce that is trimmed at the top and bottom with garlands of single flower applique. For added skirt fullness, the flounce and skirt (between the taffeta and nylon; no scratchy net next to your skin) are lined with a net crinoline. The flattering A-line style of this wonderful gown becomes fabulous as it flares outward toward the hemline. Cinderella, you have met your match!

DESCRIPTION: This Empire style vintage 1980s wedding gown is absolutely gorgeous! Tan netting creates a stunning illusion neckline that reaches from the rounded neck down to the bustline and down to the low-scooped, zippered back. Beautiful white floral lace, adorned with faux pearls and iridescent sequins, overlays the tan netting to give contrasting definition as it wraps around the neck, forms a keyhole design at the center front, and trails over the shoulders creating cap sleeves over the long, sheer, chiffon sleeves. At the sleeve wrists, the wide lace trims the edges with a snap for closure. The lower back bodice, bust, and skirt are lined in a taffeta-like fabric with a soft chiffon overlay. Lace is also displayed over the bust and back bodice, while an extravagant wide floral lace with scalloped edges is featured around the entire hem of the dress. The exquisite lace treatment continues as it trails down the sheer chiffon train from the top that is attached at the scoop back to the end of the train tip. The look is fabulous, both front and back, and you will feel like a queen on your elegant, vintage, wedding day!
